Another drawing/painting from a collector who wrote:

Hi Spirit Walker,
-
This is just one of many drawings/paintings on birch bark given to me by a very close friend of mine during the Summer of 2002. This man was a very good friend to the late Norval Morrisseau. Upon my friend’s unfortunate death I inherited a large collection of original birch bark drawings and paintings. This and other drawings and paintings were said to have been offered at one time to the Kinsman Robinson Galleries*. They were prized by Mr. Morrisseau and my friend as well due to the fact these are some of his earliest works. The Kinsman Robinson Galleries supposedly said these were not of interest and wanted only paintings on canvas done by the artist instead.

SpiritWalker,
Great images! We are really enjoying the birchbark drawings you are showing. They are really quite remarkable.

Love the birch bark. This is a really great image! It is very spiritual and important in the world of Norval. These are missing links to Morrisseaus' greatness.
