"Personally I am not thinking about myself truthfully in this present year but years ahead when I am death for the children of mine and the generations of my people to feel proud of the art heritage of the Ojibway and every nationality is proud of its culture."

Fantastic! Many collectors will be vying for such a piece of Andy Warhol type art. Did Morrisseau create many of these? It's the first one I've seen. I imagine it will create a lot of interest amongst collectors and commercial art houses who hope more will surface. This should be a National or Provincial art museum for all to see. Your team should be congratulated on their excellent research work. From the number of original hits your blog receives it must be number one on the watcher's list. Keep up the good work.

A Morrisseau ironing board! that is unreal. Spirit Walker, I don't know where you keep finding these things, but wow! Its as though you were painting them yourself! Just kidding!

I have a friend who has a football that Morrisseau painted. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Roughriders and would often paint footballs. I will send you a photo if you would like.
