LAKOTA PRAYER

Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds
And whose breath gives life to everyone,
Hear me.

I come to you as one of your many children;
I am weak .... I am small ... I need your wisdom
and your strength.

Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever
behold the red and purple sunsets
Make my hands respect the things you have made.
And make my ears sharp so I may hear your voice.

Make me wise, so that I may understand what you
have taught my people and
The lessons you have hidden in each leaf
and each rock.
-
I ask for wisdom and strength
Not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able
to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me ever ready to come before you with
clean hands and a straight eye.
So as life fades away as a fading sunset.
My spirit may come to you without shame.

I consider my eulogy to be the most respectful and honest and one that Norval would love. O well.

Could you please have the integity to elaborate the reasons for your decision?

I am not willing to elaborate my decision via this medium.

Would you please contact me (the Blog Master) at spiritwalker2008@gmail.com for further communication and explanation of my decision to delete comment of "Chancelor".

Thanks,

why wont you voice your opinion to chancelor in this forum? Isn't that why there is a blog of this nature? I know I would like to read the explanation.

I read the eulogy by "chancelor",and with due respect to chancelor,I would like to say that your comment is truthful, and you should be allowed to input another eulogy with a more toned down aspect to it knowing that your first statement announcement about Norval Morrisseau would be read by his children who would find it disrespectful that their deseased father be referred to as "old...."
Let us remember that the Ojibwey are a people of intelligence, sensitivity and personal power who have a tremendous body of spiritual truths and knowledge to dessiminate to the worlds' peoples.Lets us do our parts aswell with class and dignity.Thank You.
