'Public Discovery' of Norval Morrisseau

June Callwood who was a guest host on CBC's 'Close-Up' interviewed Norval Morrisseau at 'The Pollock Gallery' in Toronto at his sell-out exhibition, on September 12, 1962. Norval Morrisseau was explaining to her the medicine dream he had that encouraged him to start seriously painting the legends of the Great Ojibway.

- This first Norval Morrisseau's exhibition at Jack Pollock's gallery was officiated by Alan Jarvis under patronage of Senator Allister Grosart and noted expert on Ojibway art and anthropology Selwyn Dewdney.

- All paintings were sold out at the opening night for public on September 13, 1962. Total value of the art sold was $4,320.00 (minimum wage in 1962 was $1.15/hr).-
