Morrisseau Family Foundation

TORONTO, Ontario, SEPTEMBER 19, 2007: Christian Morrisseau made his first Toronto Exhibit appearance at the ARTWORLD of Sherway Gallery.

During the opening ceremony, Christian also announced the creation of the Morrisseau Family Foundation which will serve to carry on Morrisseau family artistic traditions and to protect and nourish the Morrisseau family legacy seeded by Christian's great-grandfather Potan and made famous by Christian's father, Norval Morrisseau.

-
Christian Morrisseau announced that "The Morrisseau Family Foundation will ensure my family's heritage and the integrity of my father's legacy as well as the legacy of my great-grandfather Potan. There are some in the artistic community who would like to pretend that Norval has no family but he does. My father has 7 children by direct bloodline, 18 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren."
