Presented above is an excellent example of Norval Morrisseau's painting technique where after drawing the image with pencil he first applied the islands of colours on canvas only to finish the painting with thick black outlines.

BLOG MASTER'S COMMENT: Norval Morrisseau's painting style is characterized by thick black outlines and bright colors. It is not widely known that he painted large number of canvases with thick blue outlines as in the paintings presented on this blog (follow the links below or click HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE).
