“I would like to say that I am an artist so that I can beautify the world and battle conditioned consciousness with the same tools used to condition it.

My culture is my world.”

Like many other readers, I have been following your Morrisseau blog with great interest. This presentation is brilliant and clarifies a lot of blog statements relating to fakes. I'm sure there are fake Morrisseaus on the market as there are fakes of other artists. The only difference is that Morrisseaus have yet to reach the value stage where it would pay a forger to start an assembly line of fakes. I recall reading a statement from one of the Morrisseau family who claimed that Norval Morrisseau signed authentication documents like you presented for payment. I find that hard to believe if the paintings were really fakes. I wonder how much the Morrisseu family member that made that statement was paid for this act of dishonouring a relative. The legal research relating to the threat of libel levelled against you by Kinsman Robinson was also excellent. I wouldn't like to represent Kinsman Robinson in such a case. But I would like to be the defence lawyer.
