"Spiritual Unity of Man, Fish, Serpent and Moose"

Power line connecting spirits represents Circle of Life but it could also represent interdependency among the Four Orders of Creation. Four division circles represent four cardinal directions but it could also represent the Four Seasons or the Human Cycle of Infancy, Youth, Adulthood and Old Age. Division circle itself represents all dualities of the world: good and evil, man and woman, day and night, weak and strong etc. Brown colour represents presence of Mother Earth.

To show that Norval Morrisseau's art can have more than just one meaning it could be also experienced by some viewers as representation of "Artist's struggle between good and evil" or "Man in Harmony with Nature".
