"I am Norval Morrisseau and my Indian name is Copper Thunderbird. I am a born artist. A few people are born artists and most others are not, and it is the same with the Indians. I have grown up with many stories and legends of my people, the great Ojibway Indians, and I have made paintings of these legends, although very few people have yet seen them. I believe each painting would be worth exhibiting in a gallery."

Linking quotes of Norval Morrisseau with paintings of this quality does not honour him

Bryant,

Why don't you take SW's challenge. Prove this painting is not an authentic Morrisseau without a doubt and collect the prize money. Put your money where your mouth is. SW has! Put up or shut up. We are tired of reading your constant putdowns of SW. He is honouring Norval. The only ones that don't honour him are people like you. People that did nothing buy exploit the master and his works for your own profits. Last time I checked SW has never offered a single painting of his for sale on here. EVER! I can't say the same for you or KRG. Awesome work SW! You are truly what the SPIRIT OF CANADA is all about! Honouring our legends and history.

Hey AR,

Bryant Ross seems to be the only sane one on this blog! Stop with the insults and get on with the proof. You don't have any, do you? Just smoke and mirrors.

See ya on the other blogs.

Bryant only THINKS he is the sane blogger here. He continually ridicules SW and Morrisseau on a daily basis. Bryant has NO authority in distinguishing whats authentic and what isn't

And do you Tom? Unless evidence can be given against these questionable paintings that is what they will remain. Trying to discredit Bryant or KRG or....will not result in these paintings being authentic. Evidence please that shows Morrisseau did them - same question but still no answer which is alarming because it is a simple question. I know the typical response...show us they are not by him. Enough has been presented already...

Thank you Spirit Walker for this platform.

Jon, are you unequivocally stating that these so called questionable paintings are just that? And what is your source? Bryant Ross? Again we are talking about a gallery that insults other galleries, remember? "These associations do not mean much to me". Strong words. Insulting. Demeaning. A public insult.

In case there's any confusion:

"Jon" is not John Z.
